The news is out!

So. . . as most for you know, Ryan and I have been trying for over 2 years to get pregnant again. There were a lot of doctors appointments, tons of tests, and a lot of disappointment, but we are FINALLY expecting!
Really, I still am in denial mode. It hasn't happened so many times that when the little plus sign showed up on the pee stick I couldn't believe it. I even called Ry into the bathroom to look at it. After taking 3 more tests and getting all positives I started to believe it was real. There are still so many things that can go wrong between now and Aug 1 ( the due date), but I am grateful to know that we can still get pregnant, and right now that is all I am thinking about!
We are beyond excited! And other than feeling crappy and grumpy and tired, I feel good. :)

the greatest thing

I love making things for the kids, and this was the latest! I got the bags at Michael's for a dollar! The patterns are from a pumpkin carving book, and I used regular fabric paint that I already had! The kids love them, and the best part is they store flat! No more plastic pumpkins!

HALLOWEEN!

Three days of Halloween was too much for me! I am glad that this year is over. It started Friday. Emma received an award a school for being caring on the playground. I am so proud of her. Everyone at school says that she is the most caring little girl. She has befriended a little girl in the special day class, Melanie, Emma understands that she is different, but as she says, "Mom it just means that Heavenly Father loves her so much!" She is a very loving little girl.
Later that evening we went with some friends to trick-or-treat main street. Every year the businesses on Main street invite trick-or-treater's. the kids had a great time. After that we had dinner at our friends house. They had a pinata for the kids to beat on. It was great fun!
Saturday evening the ward had places for the kids to trick-or-treat. It was great, since Halloween fell on a Sunday the kids got to do the normal trick-or-treating thing.
Jake insisted on being a robot, so he and daddy put his costume together. We got more comments on his robot costume than anything else.
All in all it was a great weekend, but I am glad that it is over!

One Whole Week

It is official Jake has now gone without diapers or pull-ups at night for a whole week. One night while getting him ready for bed he looked at me and said, " mommy, big boys don't wear diapers?" I said "nope, big boys wear underwear to bed" and that was apparently enough for him. when he puts his mind to something, man does he stick to it. No accidents, and he gets up about 3 o'clock and goes potty and then puts himself back to bed! WOW, I am still in shock! Way to go Jakers!!!!

Roses

Emma was in after school program yesterday and apparently had gas. During story time she couldn't hold it in any more and broke wind. Of course all the other kindergartners we cracking up, one of them said " Emma you stink" and My daughter looks at them straight faced and said "No I don't, I smell like roses!" That is totally a Richardson thing to say!

First Week of School!!

So we made it through the first week of school. Emma loves her class, most of the time, and likes her teacher. She does not like however getting up early and going to be early. We had back to school night and everyone said that she is a joy to work with. What happens when she gets home then? That is my question. Jake loves his mornings with out sissy. He gets to pick what cartoon he watches, and no one bosses him around. But come about 1 o'clock he starts asking if it is time to pick up Emma. Only another 170 days to go! (P.S. the camera battery died so as soon as it charges I will post pictures of the princess)
